All prices are per boat, up to 4 people or ~600 pounds
Note: A separate $100 REFUNDABLE security deposit is required at the time of rental. This fee must be paid in CASH and will be returned to you when you return the boat
Our fleet consists of 16 foot Carolina Skiffs, each equipped with reliable 15 hp Yamaha outboard engines. These models come with an electric start system, ensuring easy and reliable starting every time.
Our boats have a spacious deck layout that has ample room for movement, seating, and storage. Each boat is able to hold up to four people or approximately 600 pounds.
Because of the size and speed of our boats, no special boating license is required to rent a Bay Rat Boat, but you must have a valid drivers license.
7 days a week - 7am - 5pm
Please call, text, or email us to secure your spot, but walk-ups are welcome if we have boats available.
Must be 21 or over to rent but all ages are welcome along.
We value your safety above all else and want to ensure that your time on the water is both enjoyable and secure. For this reason, a liability waiver is required before embarking on your journey. Please make sure to arrive approximately 15 minutes earlier than your departure time to fill this out.

At the time of rental, we will give you a tutorial on safe operation of the boat, as well as ensuring familiarity with the surroundings and how to troubleshoot any issues that could arise.
Welcome to Bay Rat Boats, where family, tradition, and a love for the water come together. Our founder, Brant Nugent, has proudly served in the United States Coast Guard for nearly 20 years. His dedication to service is matched only by his commitment to his family and his passion for boating.
Brant balances his military career with family life alongside his wonderful wife, Sarah. When you call Bay Rat Boats, Sarah is typically the friendly voice you'll hear on the other end of the line. Together, they are raising four amazing daughters: Isabelle, Allyson, Emilie, and Abigail.
Bay Rat Boats is a true family business. The inspiration for our venture came when Brant purchased four 16' Carolina Skiffs from his dad and decided to share the joy of boating by renting them out. Since then, we've grown into a close-knit team where everyone plays a role. Brant ensures the boats are in tip-top shape; Sarah handles the phones and technology; and the kids chip in wherever they can. Grandparents are always ready to help with the children, and Grandpa, with his wealth of knowledge about boats and maintenance, ensures we all learn from the best.
